Privacy Policy
The short version: the game collects nothing, and this website keeps only the minimal logs a web server needs to run. No accounts, no telemetry, no advertising trackers, no selling your data — ever.
1. The Game
Salmethic is a single-player, offline game. It:
- collects no personal information and contains no analytics or telemetry;
- stores your save locally on your own device, in the standard application-data folder for your operating system — never on a server we control;
- makes no network requests as part of normal play; and
- has no accounts, logins, or online features.
Your progress is yours. If you delete the game's data folder, your save is gone — we have no copy.
2. This website
salmethic.com is a static website we host ourselves. We've deliberately kept it lean:
- No cookies are set by this site, and no advertising or analytics trackers are used.
- Fonts are self-hosted — your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any third-party font service.
- Like virtually every web server, ours keeps standard access logs — your IP address, browser/user-agent, the pages requested, and the time — for a limited period. These are used only to operate and secure the site (for example, to diagnose errors and block abuse). We do not use them to build profiles, and we do not sell or share them.
3. When you contact us
If you email us (for support, a bug report, or feedback), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to improve the game, and we keep it no longer than needed for that purpose. We don't add you to any mailing list.
4. Third parties
This site doesn't embed third-party trackers. If you follow a link to an external service — our studio site, a future Steam page, an app store, or Kickstarter — that service has its own privacy practices, which we don't control. Should we ever add an opt-in newsletter, store, or analytics, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where required.
5. Children
The Game and Site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (which, in practice, is limited to any email correspondence and server logs). To exercise them, just email us — we'll help.
7. Changes
We'll update this policy as the project grows, with the "last updated" date above reflecting any change. We'll never quietly start collecting more than what's described here without saying so.
